Re: No bueno!! Subaru Specialties (Scott Dana Boyd)
In a 'shocking' turn of events, it was a Mr Boyd no-show today. Probably locked up again on more of those bogus charges.
This time I had the accompaniment of another affected person who had dealings with Scott as recently as Nov 2018. I'm guessing my new friend was a bit let down by the no-show. No real fireworks today.
Anyways, capias issued and a heartfelt "nice work" goes out to one Scott Boyd.
:punch:

Re: No bueno!! Subaru Specialties (Scott Dana Boyd)
So do they put a warrant on him now because he was a no show for a court date?
-
Re: No bueno!! Subaru Specialties (Scott Dana Boyd)
Yes.
I am waiting for paperwork to arrive that will explain more (as well using this time to get myself educated on what this all means). It seems there are a few options as to how the capias is handled but ultimately he will eventually be hauled in to answer for the Payment Review hearing.

sorry dude, that's super disappointing
I was ready for some fucking justice

Re: No bueno!! Subaru Specialties (Scott Dana Boyd)
I wish I saw this earlier. I work a few minutes away from the Ayer court house and would have taken you to an excellent Korean restaurant just down the road.

I dunno. I have to believe it's not fun being in his shoes and that's a sort of subtle justice in my book. The fact that, given his arrest history in NC, he still persists on not answering for his bullshit.....it's beyond my comprehension. But here we are, amazingly enough, prolonging the inevitable.
It's really no sweat off my brow to take the drive down then be out of court within 30min. Today worked out beautifully! On my way back I stopped at Granite Subaru to pick up my short block and other parts, dropped it all off at WPG and life goes on.
The only thing that will save Mr Boyd is a spaceship because as long as he's on Earth, he can and will be found.

I wish you well, but if it's anything like my experience -- getting a warrant enforced because the other party didn't show up -- it can be incredibly frustrating. I'd make friends with the PD that's going to be enforcing the warrant, and be prepared to hurry up and wait.

The place just over the bridge? I work in Devens, that place is a go to.

This has come down to nothing more than a grind now and yes, it will take time. Waiting requires no energy on my part so I don't have many frustrations at this point. I'm more amazed than anything.
The timing of the waiting game is perfect though because my car is finally being worked on and I can put the time and energy into that....which is way more fun anyway!

They typically don't go after the guy until he's picked up for something else, then execute the warrant. Then he'll see the judge which will let him go on his own recognizance to show up at another court date which he'll blow off again.

Re: No bueno!! Subaru Specialties (Scott Dana Boyd)
It’s good that you are pursuing this so that others don’t get burned.
I think the parts and machine work he described would be $2,000 or more, without labor.

Re: No bueno!! Subaru Specialties (Scott Dana Boyd)

Re: No bueno!! Subaru Specialties (Scott Dana Boyd)
Anyone care to search "Bob Harris" on CL and let me know what you think?
I feel it's rather obvious but wanted to hear other opinions...

Me or him? Or perhaps "yes" is the answer.
I still don't have my money so it's still a problem.
