    Doubletake Adventure mirrors

    https://www.doubletakemirror.com/

these mirrors are awesome, worthy of telling people about them. based on a Ram mount platform, they stay securely in place, no vibration, easy to readjust, if you need em out a bit further, just add another Ram extension

I had them on my CRF for a while. They are really nice but they're also surprisingly heavy. I ditched em for the Enduro ones instead, which are much lighter but also vibrate more.

the Enduros or Scramblers would have worked with wider bars, Even with the Adventure mirrors, I'm still thinking of adding another 3" ram extension, I can see past my elbows now, but haven't been in traffic yet

I love the adventure mirrors! I'm so tempted to put them on everything, even the more sporty stuff. They take accidental lane splitting 'bumps' well and even survived my latest crash in Mexico. And of course they remove/adjust easily. I personally love the additional coverage of the adventure over the enduro. I'll take as much rear-view as possible.

good to hear the crash survivability, have a set of the old Napoleon Bar Ends on my SV650, they've hit the ground a few times, other than scuffs, good as new, bar ends wouldn't work for my k-pipe, they would be out of my field of view

Run em on my dual sports…wish I did it sooner over the cheapo Acerbis

But on a street bike, OEm generally had the best visibility

Indestructible ? I found the weakness, looped my k-pipe coming into my steeper of 2 drive entrances, bike ended up on top of me (weighs 50lb less than me, so no big deal) and drove one of the mirrors into the loose gravel, mirror housing and glass fine, broke the ball off the end of the mirror. A clean break, so I Gorilla glued it.

    Re: Doubletake Adventure mirrors

the "back entrance" or rather exit, to my driveway is short (20ft), steep(30%±) and gravel, some loose spots, some packed pretty hard, I downshift to 1st and take it slow, cause once the top, I'm in my parking area. I hit a loose spot and started spinning, then got traction, doesn't take much when your already on a 30% slope up, slow motion, I fell on my side, with the bike on top of me, my head ended up downhill from my feet, I hit kill switch, crawled out from underneath, picked it up, and the mirror was stuck in the gravel, and the ball was still in the ram extension on the bike

the gorilla glue is working great

I was thinking the same thing. Then I read this:

I won't even take my Silverado up nor down that "driveway". But I would've paid to see you flailing around like that under that little bike!

    Re: Doubletake Adventure mirrors

well, the Gorilla glue didn't hold, I went on my ride yesterday with 1 mirror, only takes a few seconds to switch sides with em.

    Re: Doubletake Adventure mirrors

You may want to contact DoubleTake and send pictures to see if their lifetime warranty covers the break. They may even be nice enough to send a replacement since you just bought it even if it doesn't.
