Dyno Solutions in Brookfield, CT - AWESOME

On Saturday I went over to Brookfield, CT to get a custom map for both my 2004 Suzuki GSXR 750 and 2007 Aprilia Tuono 1000R.

The day started off with me renting a U-haul trailer, and as I was loading up the bikes, I received a phone from John(the owner) indicating his morning appointment had cancelled and I could on down whenever I would like. Sweet deal. I ended up arriving an hour before my appointment and John took me right and we started work on my 750. John was very professional throughout the process and let me know everything he was doing along with answering all of my questions. Better yet he suggested we do 4 baseline runs for each bike. Two with the DB-killers in and 2 with them out.

With the 750s level-one racing db-killer in I saw a 2hp drop at the high power range with a slightly richer fuel mixture. So I went with the db-killer out for that bike. The dyno runs went well until about half-way through. Then my bike starting having high rpm issues(11-13K). I lost 2hp and something was not right. We decided the bike may be heat soaked, so we would let it sit for a while and work on the Tuono.

The Tuono had the same baseline run except the db-killer(more like hp-killers) dropped my 8hp and 2ft-lbs of torque form 7K up!!! Holy crap!! In addition my Tuono was rich, I mean really rich(10.1 F/A ratios). The Dyno session went great for the Tuono. End result was 122.72HP(+4 diff) and 70.37ft-lbs Torque(+2), perfect F/A ratio, and an amazing drive-ability increase. After 80 miles on the bike I can say that it feels like a whole new very refined machine.

The 750 came back in for more work and the problem did not go away on the next run. So John, at no charge, asked if I wanted to take some time to track the problem down. I, of course, said yes, and we started to check everything out. We went through everything we could think of and get to(including disconnecting the power commander) with no luck. Today while sorting through the bike I found the possible culprits to be me not torque the spark plugs enough(as they were loose) and possible not seating the throttle bodies correctly(as they came off very easily). We'll find out if I am right next Saturday when I go back for another run.

All-in-all is was a great day and I was more than pleased with John's work, the way he performed his work, and treated me as a customer. Really top notch. I would recommend anyone going to him who needs dyno work.
