    Experience w/ National Powersports Distributors?

Has anyone had any experience with these guys? They are located up in Pembroke, NH so I am wondering if it is worth the hour drive to go see what they have. Thoughts?

I bought a bike from them when they were in Loudon. It was a good experience. I love how they have all of their inventory on their website.

I've bought from them and knew people that worked there and I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything from them if I were in the market for used. Actually they would be the first place I would look for a used bike.

    Love their website too.

I almost bought an ST3 from them... Got a good feeling but found my 998 and went with that instead.

Never had the pleasure of buying a bike from them but I know a number of the people there and wouldn't hesitate.

Wow...rave reviews. How about on the negotiating aspect of it. Are they pretty firm?

I think it depends on the bike, but when I went in the asking price on the bike I wanted was far below what other people were selling it for used. It was enough I said "what's wrong with it?". After actually going there to look at it and realizing oh they obviously just wanted to sell the thing rather than dick around with it...I gave them a check.

So to answer your question, I think it depends on the bike and asking price really.

Bought my bike there. Good people easy transaction. They are firm on the price. They price it at what they expect it to sell at and don't inflate their prices so you don't have to dick around to get a bottom line. If you want to haggle go elsewhere. If you want to pay right around what its listed at and see a fair listed price then go with them. They inspect the used bikes thouroughly and are detailed in anything that is wrong.

never bought a bike there, but have gone in there a lot and they are super nice, bikes are priced well enough that you don;t really need to dick around with price, and they are very low pressure, you can go in and roam around for a while and they will leave you alone unless you want their help.

Looking for my next bike there before anywhere else.

I traded my 1999 VFR and the price was no worse than trading with any other dealer.

Yeah, from my conversations via email, they seem to be very nice. I love one of their bikes, but it is just a few hundred out of my range. I am still going to go see them I think this weekend.

From my experience they do not flex on prices @ all, the flip-side is there is no dealer fees. And about 99% of all dealers out there could take a lesson from them on how to list a motorcycle for sale.

Two guys at work have purchased cruisers from them. Both would go back as the experience was positive. Their online add was detailed, called attention to and accurately noted the flaws on the rides.

Re: Experience w/ National Powersports Distributors?

the guys there are awesome. ive had fantastic experiences. i bought my current bike there, and referred my freind there (viper919 on here), and he bought his rsvr there. they generally dont flex much on prices, but they are very honest and fair, no bs. i think for the most part youll notice their prices are lower than most, and they really give all the bikes a good lookover and disclose everything they find. you know what youre dealing with when you get there, no games really. everyone is real freindly, and the owner even facebook freinded me after the sale. kinda cool, showed me he was comfortable and confident in his business.

Sounds like I had the same experience as everyone else. Great people, while they are firm on their prices they are more than fair. I traded in a honda 919 for the bike I have now, they gave me $4000 for it. This is probably more than I could have got on a private sale. They will be one of the first places I check out when I start looking for another bike!

I have been working with Joe Fortin up there and he has been fantastic. They are also willing to work with you on getting you used parts installed on the bike if that helps the sale. Amazing experience so far...just need to decide if I want a bike this year or wait until fall to pick something up.

I bought my MV from them and they were kind enough to give me the entire history of the bike. With this info, I was able to contact the prior service shop to make sure the bike had a clean bill of health. They will get first shot to sell me my next bike. Highly recommend!!

Re: Experience w/ National Powersports Distributors?

It is really nice to log in and see this thread. When I started the business I never planned on selling retail. Frankly, I hate the entire typical dealer process. Selling on-line gave me a different perspective on how I wanted to do business. Even though we have grown a lot in the last 8 years its good to know that local bikers are having good experiences with the shop. Thanks everybody. Wil, if you have any specific questions that you want to ask me about how we do business please post it here or PM me.
    Thanks,
    Nate
