    Heroic Street Gloves

I picked up a set of Todd's new shorty street gloves from the Heroic booth yesterday.
Had a chance to use them this morning on my commute to work (oh hi Gino )

These gloves are great. They're super comfortable and have gel pads around the palms. They're a great replacement of my worn out shorties that I just tossed.

For $100, you can't go wrong. For those who like to support the local guy, this is it. Todd was at NHMS Thurs-Sunday late night fixing rider's suits/gloves (like me) as well as selling his new products.

I can't wait for my new Heroic race suit and gloves to arrive. His products and customer service are top notch.

+1 to Todd, his products and trackside service.

I picked up a pair of Heroic race gloves from him on Thursday, and didn't even notice I was breaking in new gloves while I was on the track. Oh, and my times dropped by about 2 seconds this weekend. Is it because of the new gloves?

That or something to do with grabbing another gear at my brake marker for T1...

BTW, how'd the new gearing work out?

Oh, and I'll third the review of Todd's gloves. Completely forgot I was wearing them once on track, my Titans are backups now.

I had my eye on some icon shorties that are actually more expensive than these.

    A) I think I just found yet-one-more gear purchase for this season
    B) I think I just found another excuse to go back to Loudon this season

Todd fixed my A* suit and gloves for me this summer and I have to say his service was amazing. I dropped it all off in the evening when I left the track and picked it up the next morning on my way in. My next set of gear I will be buying from him just because of his customer service was outstanding! Talking to some of the guys that wear his gear says its just as good if not better than whats out in the market. And the fact that he is local is always a good reason also!

Mine fit a little loose. I probably should have gone one size down. But they are what he had on-hand.

go talk to him, he was talking to Keira and I about gloves last season and since she has such small hands, he was talking about how he can alter the gloves to fit right. as long as he can adjust them, he will. Top Notch guy and nice gear!

    Re: Heroic Street Gloves

I'm never at the track when he is there. It took me 3 visits to remember go to buy the gloves in the first place.

But yeah. That's a good idea.

Bubs, mine felt too big at first too. Now they're broken in, they fit my fingertips perfectly

    Re: Heroic Street Gloves

I seem to be having the opposite problem. They fit better when new. I can feel the fingers sliding around on me. They have really nice lining which I suspect breaks in. The leather should also stretch some. All my other gloves have.

My moral here is when in doubt, go a little snug and let the gloves break in.

Great gloves for the $$ though. Protection seems excellent and they are very comfortable. The wrist protection seems a little more substantial than many short, non gauntlet gloves.

This. He actually had a women's glove with a child-size knuckle plate, which he gave me at a deep discount (apparently no one else fits this) because I have long, skinny hands. I have never found gloves that fit well all around and these fit, well, like a glove. Usually the fingers are too short or the plate is too wide, these are perfect.

    Re: Heroic Street Gloves

Todd had me go with a looser than I'd normally go for glove. When I got my Titans the 'fitting procedure' was find the smallest pair I could just squeeze into. Todd prefers there to be room for the glove to move a bit on your hand. He's also got me doing the wrist flaps looser than instinct tells me too.

wrist strap should be tight enough where its not gonna pull off your hand. cuffs don't have to be super tight. they need to allow the glove to slide around the end of your jacket sleeves. that's how he explained it to me.

Heh, I used to do the wrist strap so it was just loose enough to maintain blood flow...

    Re: Heroic Street Gloves

I don't like having the glove move on my hand. Especially on my throttle hand. I feel like I've got a death grip on the bars just to keep the gloves from wiggling around.

Everyone should buy these gloves though. They comfy.
