I have bought Quest, EZ Up, First Up and 3 weeks ago a 13 footer from Walmart that broke taking it out of the box. 129 bucks too. Today I returned it and took the money and bought this Craftsman. I was so impressed I went back and bought the matching folding chairs. Those are nice too.

I'm in the market for a new canopy. Mine died after a short lived flight. Thanks for the tip.

Looking for one myself, what makes the Craftsman one so good?

The materials used are much stronger. Bolts with self locking nuts. The design is simpler. It is accordion but instead of the three or four joints per side it is just one. The feet are welded. There are spring loaded metal pins instead of plastic buttons at the corners. The ez up legs feel like rolled tin while the legs and cross members in the Craftsman are much better built. The fabric fits very tight so on rain days puddles won't build up. The edges are stitched nice with black striping. Even the Craftsman name is sewn on. A nice touch. It comes with 4 heavy duty spikes for anchoring. No ropes. If I was going to use this on pavement at LRRS on would use water buckets and the ropes from a old ez up. Mine is up in the yard right now if anyone wants to come check it out. Take a dirt bike spin on my city sized trail system too.
Purchased it based on your recommendation. Thanks!
Is it worth twice the price of the basic ez up branded one?

Going camping in a couple of weeks and this is going with me. I will see how it holds up compared to the others that will be there, it's still in the box right now.

After having this canopy set up for 3 days straight and though a couple of storms, this thing rocks! I think every brand of canopy was represented where I was and I would have to say that this one was the best of them. Very glad I spent the couple of extra bucks for this one. 5 stars!
Mine is the bright red one in the middle.

I'm gonna build a ghetto canopy off the side of my trailer.. I'll try to remember to post pictures
I will be giving it the ultimate workout for 4 days of camping about 100 feet from the waves at Horseneck Beach State Campground next week. I am confident it will stand up to the strong winds they get there as long as it is anchored down gone. I got some heavy duty homemade pegs coming with me.
What do you guys usually use to anchor your canopys? I used a couple ratchets hooked to 5gal gas cans but it still went flying last time.
Tool boxes. Cars. Trucks. Trailers. Fences. White buckets filled with water. At high winds you take them down. At Horseneck Beach we had 3 canopies collapse at night from sagging from water pooling up. The Craftsman fits snug and won't do that. I did take it down on the third day cause the wind got too much. I wasn't risking it. Though the Craftsman was a better canopy than all the others there.
