    Performance Cycle, Shrewsbury MA (Triumph)

Anyone go through them for Triumph work? I've got an appointment to drop my bike off and just want to know what I'm getting myself into there.

i've talked with the service dept but most work i've had them do is an inspection. get all my yama parts thru them. please post your results as I'm curious. their prices seemed fair for work generally (if they stuck to them).

Well here's a video of the "before" dealership trip... just as a base-line.

can't comment on their triumph work but i've had nothing but good experiences from them. Bought 2 bikes and had them do a few services on my kawi.

The owner is a former roadracer. I believe he got his start at a tiny shop on West Boylston St in Worcester next to Art's Diner. I think he actually sold Ducati then. At least serviced them. I have talked to him in the past and he seems very decent. I have only done business in the parts department though.

I also can't speak on Triumph servicing, but imho, they're pretty much like any other dealership. They'll do the work they're supposed to, and, because they're a dealer, it may a bit on the expensive side, but you get the dealer services. Sometimes (but rarely) they make mistakes, but come back and tell them about it and they'll rectify the situation.

They've done my chain and sprockets on two different bikes, mounted tires, swapped wheel bearings, fixed a short pinched wire/short circuit, taken quick looks at my bike when I needed it, I get my inspections and last-minute local items from there, and the only issue I had was when a bolt wasn't tightened after a servicing, and it dragged on the tire shredding into it. Took a little while to fix, but they replaced the tire and installed it at no cost to me. The service guys know their stuff and Dave is a part of the performance cycles family. They seem like they've gotten busier along the years, but of the most recent servicing I've done there, Derek always gets it done quickly (scheduled a chain/sprockets one morning, and it was done within hours of dropping it off).

Meaning they weren't nice to you? Who cares... Lol. The guy there Derek was really nice to me, talked me through what he was going to do, and gave me a reasonable quote, said it'd probably be less.

So... That's already OK in my book.

Have you had any work done there? I noticed their sales-floor was a bit... snobbish? No one really approached us when we came in, yet the guy running the show dropped everything to talk to his "buddy" that came in, talking about track-days and bs like that. So I can see where the "poor customer service" may have come from...

Thanks for all the other comments guys!

I had a less than desirable experience with them. When my KLR was burning oil they refused to acknowledge it and help me get it fixed under warranty. I had to go to another dealer to do the same test again and the other dealer was very helpful.

As an alternative, my shop is a Triumph dealership. Our owner is also a former racer, and got his start in the business as an engine builder. Give me a shout at 401 724-0010.

And I can vouch for Eric (Eboos). He will make sure of it.
