In the truest sense, that is true. In their minds, it's still the same company and they (Les Harris actually) made at least "a couple of motorcycles" even during the few years between the time the Norton-Triumph-Villiers venture failed and the time John Bloor bought the corporate name. Les Harris made a couple of bikes using new old stock parts, but those bikes were essentially 1984 bikes made the same right through 1988 or so.

I say let them say what they want, what difference does it make? They're building most of the bikes and most of the major mechanical parts for them right there at their new plant in England. And it's a genuine British manufacturing company.

If that's the case, Harley-Davidson has only been building bikes for about 30 years, since AMF sold them!

The company never ceased to exist, they just changed ownership.

Some of the AMF Harley owners would disagree with you about their "existence"!
