Hello all, I want to know what are the best Ratchet Straps for securing a bike to a small Trailer?![]()
Just look at the load rating on the straps. I tend to like the thicker (front to back) straps. Usually over 1000 pound capacity. I'm not a fan of the really thin straps. However, I have seen quite a few people using the straps.
As with any "safety" equipment, make sure to inspect the straps for wear with each use.
I've used the standard straps, slightly thicker than the cheapy ones. The Canyon Dancer handlebar strap is a pretty nice addition.
good info there...i also use a friction-type straps to transport my bikes in a truck bed...i end up tying the excess strap material under the cam buckle so it doesn't slide down and then above it so it holds
didn't tie it that way in this picture but i've never had them slide...
