    Shark rsr2 review

Lets start off with the deal i got, 230$ from 3D Cycles in Maine. I highly recommend them. Charged and shipped the same day, got it in one day. The helmet is the discontinued 07/08 Miguel Duhamel replica. Manufacture date of 09/07 so not bad at all for 230 beans.

Right out of the box the helmet is absolutely gorgeous, amazing finish (got the matte edition too).

Fit: Fits absolutely perfect, got a size S like my scorpion and this fits nice and snug absolutely amazing. Only CON for this is my fault not the helmets. My nose is pretty damn close to the breath guard and the helmet itself.

Liner: Again absolutely insane, made of suede/microfiber material, seems pretty close to the Alcantara on a suomy extreme. Very very soft and comfortable even with my face not shaved.

Weight: Weights a little over 3lbs, 1450grams to be exact. Sat with it on for about an hr or so and feels incredible you can really notice that extra pound saved.

Visor/Locking system: The visor is ridiculous at 3mm thick, perfect vision and nothing in the way. It is a bit difficult to lift the visor up but will try it with gloves on when i go test it out. Need to lift up a little then pull up, has no clicks it pretty much just stays where you leave it, all the way down locks TIGHT. I left the tension the way it is for now feels perfect.

Air flow and noise will come on later on when i go for a ride, might just take it out for a bit right now and see how it flows and noises up.

Comes with tear off, a winter guard which channels all your breath outside the helmet by way off 2 ducts in the chin area.
Here are some pics for you guys to enjoy, i will add more things in a bit.

    Side

    Top vent

    Top

    Inside liner

Ridiculously thick 3mm visor, there about 80$ to replace too.

Air flow: Flows absolutely beautiful and smooth. Its not a gush of wind, you can feel your head staying cool. The front vent takes care of your face, the top vent takes care of your head. If you turn your head a bit to check lanes you get a nice cooling on the sides.

Noise: Absolutely quiet below 60 or so mph, you don't hear a thing. At highway speeds i do believe that my EXO700 is quieter but not by much.

Will write an update after i go for a ride this weekend.

I gotta say the fit is weird at first, the cheek pads are pretty close to my eyes, idk if thats normal for a racing helmet or what but its weird at first. My nose is close to the helmet too but thats my huge knocker.

The shield does take some getting used to to push it open when its locked. You kinda gotta get a hold of the helmet with the same hand and pop it open. its so smooth though since theres no clicks. Leave it wherever you want and thats it

Not bad for 230 bucks!!!! Thats a $700 helmet brand new bro! Freakin deal of the year if you ask me. Nice pick up.

I had the white/red Duhamel, even better looking than the Matte IMHO. Loved it, though the L was too big, and a medium is wicked tight on my forehead. Sadly, the Arai RX-7 fits me better, great helmet, but the RSR2 liner is second to none. I could wear that helmet to sleep!
Holds up great in a crash too!

The RSR2 is one the lightest and safest helmets available to the public. Nice purchase.

    Re: Shark rsr2 review

As good as the RSR2 is I still like the comfort of the Arai Corsairs. But for 230 that's not a bad deal. Although that shop in Maine is got a whole bunch of John Hopkins Arais for about $430.

    BTW...3D Cycles ships real fast.
