Best stand to use in the pits?

Generally, myself as well as lots of my friends who do not have a kickstands use a rear wheel stand being either a Woodscraft or Pit Bull. Been watching some videos of the pits out west and seems like everyone uses front wheel chocks while under their tents. Any idea why is that? Seems like having a front wheel chock doesn't require you to have a second person to either hold onto your bike or put on the rear stand, but the benefits of having a rear stand is you can put on tire warmers. Given I'm only doing track days so tire warmers aren't as crucial, but none-the-less, I use tire warmers and have crashed from having cold tires.

Woodcraft all the way. Great product, great value, great customer service & they're local. Doesn't get much better than that. I'm still using the same stands I bought 6-8 years ago.

But if I didn't use warmers I'd probably use a wheel chalk thing too. Seems that that'd be pretty convenient.

I also recommend the Woodcraft stands. I also got mine 6-8 years ago and use them all the time. Even my wife knows how to use them just in case.

i actually would recommend the Woodcraft front pin stands, but the Pitbull SS rear stands.

It's always good to be prepared if you crash and break off a spool tab & need to flip from spool to swingarm pads.

I'm wih Jim on this. I use pit-bull rear and woodcraft front.

If going the Fr/Rr stands route, I like the PB forward-handle rear stand - easier to use than a standard rear-handle stand.

The "best" IMO would be a Bursig stand. Very trick, but also expensive & bike-specific.

This. But also I keep a piece of metal to go through my axle should a spool break. That way I just put the metal through the axle and life the bike on the metal while I fix the spool.
