I am interested in a trailer for racing. The cargo type trailers. V nose. 14-16 foot. I see lots of brands. Who is the best for quality? Who to watch out for? What to look for?
Thule is the best (IMHO)

Thule's trailer division is now SnowPro/CargoPro, same people, new name, still made in Waterville Maine.
if anyone is interested in a 6x10 single axle, my buddy bought one to move back from CA and will probably sell it when he gets here in a few weeks from now.

im in the market too, but 5x8 or 5x10 steel trailers weigh too much. i need aluminum.

I know of a tandem axle 14 ft. v nose, aluminum with built in rails for chocks and tie downs $4k absolutely perfect. brakes. I priced and finally bought an aluminum over the slightly less expensive steel of the common names and have no regrets. I can get pics but not till next week

http://www.racingjunk.com/category/8...E-TRAILER.html Got this yesterday. A cart racer bought, registered, and then never used it. Had it made to his specs. Guy traded it back in on a toy hauler. I got it for 4750 plus docfee. 5000 g total. If I didn't find this I had decided I would go and have a PROline made in NH. They seem very nice. Thules are probably #1 with PROline being #2. But local. BTW I wanted silver too. THanks for the responses.
Looking over things again recently and decided I'd add my two cents because you all care.
Thule/SnoPro/CargoPro is crap now I think, since their assets were bought out by Alcom:

I say this as Mission/High Country (ALCOM) of late seem to get some crappy reviews on the sled forums, and rather than one joining the other - Im guessing SP/CP will follow the path of the others?
Pro-Line seems to be the latest/greatest, now if I could afford one without selling the stuff I want to put in the trailer, I'd be happy.
Legend trailers in Mi. is probably on par with Pro-Line but Mi. is 12 hours farther than Pro-Line for me....
I agree. I like the PROline the best. Keep it local too. Build to your spec for a rather fair price. http://www.nhtrailers.com/
i ended up with a pretty nice 5x10 aluminum open trailer. it only weighs 400lbs which is perfect for my car (can only pull about 2k#). with 2 bikes on it im still well under 2k

When I had a open trailer I added on a pick-up truck tool box for carrying gear and it locked.
ya, had a buddy build a box on the front big enough to hold spare wheels/tires. i put a couple locks on it
