Triumph Dealers in Mass? Anyone deal with them?

  1. #1

Question Triumph Dealers in Mass? Anyone deal with them?

I found 3 under 50 miles from my house...

    Performance Cycles
    Shrewsbury

    Second Wind Triumph
    Merrimack, NH

    Riverside Triumph
    Somersville

On the owners manual from the bike, the dealer stamp was from North River Motors in Salem, MA.

IF anyone has been to any of these shops and can give me a good idea as to which is the best for service, etc... let me know!

    Thanks in advance.

I go to my local dealer in seekonk but the original owner of my bike bought it from Somerville. They installed a few things on my bike including a slipper clutch and the bike runs like a champ

A friend of mine bought from Performance in Shrewsbury and they seemed to be quite helpful with any issues he had with his 675.

Re: Triumph Dealers in Mass? Anyone deal with them?

I needed an upgrade kit for my alternator drive shaft on my 10 year old T3C and went to Performance Cycles as they were the closest dealership to me. The shop is relatively small and quaint, but the master technician I spoke with was extremely helpful. I expected to have to order the kit but he was able to find a kit on the shelf in a matter of minutes, and he went out of his way to explain the installation procedure to me.
    Highly recommended.

+1 for Performance. The triump tech there is great. I've had no bad experiences with them to date.

I can't say anything about the quality of Triumphs service, but I've used Second Wind for my Beemer for years and have always had good experiences with them.

Used to work for Armands Powersports in Halifax, MA. Quite the hike from Athol, but a great service department, and friendly staff.

Second Wind ftw. I have used Performance for their parts/service departments before, and they guys downstairs are always nice and very helpful, but after trying to buy a bike from them and their "I don't give a shit" attitude in the sales dept, I've been somewhat reluctant to return.

How about Great Bay in N.H. They were top 100 dealers in the country.

I can not say that I did not notice this attitude when my wife and I were looking at new bikes and accessories upstairs, but since the OP was refering to service, I still have nothing but good things to say about them in that regard. If PC is close to him, he should be well served if he choses to go there.

Interesting. I love to see the candid responses. So I wonder how they became a "top 100" dealer?

anyway, $80 for a tune isn't a bad (seems fairly average) price.
most people would likely pay that vs $499 (Aus) for the Tune Edit kit.

    but as they say, YMMV.
The going rate for the tor tune is about $40, if you look around.

I would like to see who named them top 100 anything, what is the criteria for such a ranking. What are they rated exactly #99 on the list?
