so... it's winter... time to get everyone all fired up in the off season...

In terms of quality... how does everyone feel about the Vanson Hybrid suit? I thought it was pretty awesome when I tried it on Saturday. Haven't had the chance to slide down the track in a Vanson yet... sooo...

Decision is between the A*'s Missile and the Vanson Hybrid.

I have the hybrid suit. I prefer it to my race suit. It fits sooooooo much better. I was able to go down one size due to the soft CE2 armor and stretch panels. It probably weighs 10 pounds less. I have now been down the road with it. once or twice. It is wearing as well as my race suit did. One crash was at over 120mph and the suit barely shows. It was mostly in the grass, but still!

I also now prefer the soft armor to the race armor. I had zero bruises after the high speed tumble. Padding stays in place better than the "pro" level armor.

Is the Hybrid not technically a race suit? I see the V093 has thicker leather.. anything else that classifies it differently?

the armor is soft. But excellent in my experience. they can make it fit better with the thinner leather

Anything they can do to make the suit work with the rider and not against is a plus. Sounds like the softer armor is the ticket too. Most of us that have been down have had a armor bite or two.

The old school suit they made for me was impossible to move in. I didn't feel safe riding in it. Mostly because the fit was wrong.

They can be combined, but the catch is that you can't use it for more than half the price of the items you're buying. So if a suit is $1000 you can only use $500 in contingency, even if you have $1000 in certs.

Still a killer deal, but I wasn't aware when I made a visit.
