    Weymouth Honda yeah or nay?

I'm struggling to get what should be a simple deal done and am actually willing to consider that it might be me.

What have your experiences been on the motorcycle side of the business?

Their prices on parts are always higher. I'll do some research on parts and tell them I can get it for X, match it! They usually do .

Last time they quoted me a f4i fork seal price even though I told them it was for a 600rr. It was $10 cheaper. Hell, I'll be over to pick them up. I got there and then they found out they quoted me for the wrong part. They still kept to the quote on the phone.

I have kind of steered away from Weymouth, but it on the way home from work and 8 or so miles away. Just do your reasearch before you go there. Never pick up anything at face value.

Most of the times I'll venture over to Bettencourts.

Re: Weymouth Honda yeah or nay?

I bought my second leftover CBR1000RR (the one currently for sale) from them after an unfortunate end to the first one I bought from Bettencourt's.

Both bikes were exactly the same and both brand new leftovers. The one I purchased from Weymouth ended up to be $1500 less than at Bettencourt's, because they were willing to come down on their asking price. Bettencourt's was not. I also got the warranty for a few hundred less as well, as I also got them to come down on that as well.

They were a decent dealership to work with. I didn't feel pressured at all. Maybe because it was the second go-around in less than two months and I knew exactly what I wanted. Instead of the first purchase, which was pretty much an impulse buy.

I had an oposite experience with my New 929. Weymouth wanted 750 over the msrp. Bettencourts was the only one that sold it as the msrp.

That's interesting. Did you buy it new or leftover? My 07 was a 2 year old leftover. It was also when dealerships were selling the 08 leftovers for ridiculously low pricing.

Keep in mind that Honda might have been throwing money at the cbr1000 when you bought it.

They ran a promotion that put price at 8500. It was Honda money, not the dealership coming down in price.

In any event, they were ok to work with from my perspective.

So, make your best offer. If you don't like what they have to say, walk. Don't let them pressure you into doing something you either don't want to do or can't afford to do. (not that this is the case)

I've been to Bettencourt's many times. Is it really any better?

At Weymouth, I get a complete apathy vibe.

At Bettencourt's, I hear dueling banjos.

Personally I think both dealers bettencourts and Weymouth Honda suck. Weymouth over charges for everything and then takes 10 times longer for any service. Bettencourts employees think they know everything and treat you as a moron. But they couldn't install a power commander on my 03 rc 51. An entire day and they couldn't get the map to load. So I took it home and installed and loaded the map in less than 2 hours. I was friends with the service manager at Brockton cycles so I used them for anything I wouldn't do on my own.

    while i don't doo honda's iv'e always been happy with bettencourt's.

i'll never forget it, somewhere around 33 years ago when i needed a cylinder honed and the old man brought me out back and showed me how it was done and explained the process. other than at cliffs you don't see service like this in very many places any more.

i needed something fri, there close so i called them. (i needed the power wire for some heated gear) they didn't have it, but said they'd take it out of one the jackets they had. if i needed (sic) to get a honda i'd go there.

Brockton cycles= worst fucking dealer ever & worst fucking service department ever!

i liked going there to get stickers for new bikes i didn't buy there.

the last time i let them fuck up my bike was in 1987.

last new bike was in 1987 too.
i bought a new ninja and go for a quick test drive only to almost crash, the bike had no brakes.

or the guy who had the right clip on come off right outside of the dealership.

Well I'm not sure when my friend started but prob not before 2003. But I agree that most of the people there weren't the brightest. I know that he was the only one who touched my bike when it was there.

Yup. But the service manager John opened his own repair shop on rt18 in Abington.

Re: Weymouth Honda yeah or nay?

I can't say anything great about Weymouth Honda. I also can not say anything bad. Only been in there for a few parts.

And about bettencourts being a better choice. . . I bought my cbr from New York Honda Yamaha because bettencourts and Weymouth both wanted a couple hundred over MSRP (11,200 at the time) and wouldn't budge.

One PHONE CALL to NY and a tank of gas and I had my new bike for 10500 OTD.
