What's the word on Parkway Cycles in Everett?

Has anyone had work done at Parkway Cycles in Everett. I need a tune up amongst other things.
I'm getting ready to sell the bike and I need to find a good place. I refuse to go back to Arlington cycles.

    Thanks,
    CBRRdee!!!

By Arlington cycles do you mean Greater Boston Motorsports? Because they're both owned by the same person IIRC.

I bought a helmet there once. Good service, helpul staff, squidly clientele.

Yup Arlington cycles (Greater Boston Motorsports). I've had a couple of unpleasant experiences with GBM. I've read a lot of negative reviews and a small amount of good reviews. If you're thinking about taking your bike to GBM in Arlington, don't read the reviews on YELP!

If the same person owns Parkway cycles maybe the personnel in the service department is more professional than GBM in Arlington.

Thanks again, I will keep looking for now. Be safe!!!

you should just do it yourself, if it's a CBR 600rr I can help with a tune up and I'm right next door to you. You just need a garage or a full sunny day to do it

Re: What's the word on Parkway Cycles in Everett?

I've recently had good dealings with Riverside. Full disclosure, I'm also a new rider. Brought my new-to-me 2012 w/ 1100 miles in for her first service interval (est. 2 hours, oil & filters, tune/adjust controls) and I didn't buy the bike from them. That said, right before bringing it in I read up a bit and when I dropped it off and asked them to also do the timing belts. My request definitely added a couple hours of unexpected labor (for them) to my scheduled visit. They had to order some part too, a little odd for what I think is their most common bike, but whatever, it was done a day later and all in all the bike feels very well tuned and adjusted. Brakes, throttle, and clutch action are all noticeably improved, idle seems smoother (or just better?) and it was a good overall experience. A close family friend has had them store and service his bikes there for a while without issue or complaint. When arriving a guy was rolling out on his girls R1 that was just dusted out of storage and I saw a number of other bikes hanging around so no, they are not Triumph & Ducati only.

I also ordered my initial round of first-time-rider gear from them, so I guess I've become a new "frequent" face for a month. The parts/accessory team has also been very helpful and patient going over everything with me and I was happy to deal somewhere local instead of the online game for the core try-on stuff (helmet, jacket, gloves).

Only downside, I guess, is they are busy (location, location, location) and it's high season for out of storage setups so be ready to schedule something.

    From NASIOC:

Anyways, long story short the dealership (different than the one I'm working with now) called up last minute and wanted to charge an additional LAC "Limited access charge" fee. Wanted to evaluate the market to see what that additional fee would be based on the bikes popularity / limited availability.

I told him to shove it and walked away from the deal since I was on the fence anyways.
"Why didn't you name the dealership? Sounds like Cycles 128."

I did my safety class there and had a great experience with the teachers. The dealers.. well not so much.

Bought my first bike at Parkway when I was new and didn't know what my options were. Without going into gory details; 0ne and done with that family of dealershits.
