Just a note for anyone who is thinking about making this trip in the future, Barber is absolutely worth the time and effort. I had not ridden there since 2008 and almost forgot just how much fun the place can be. Nearly every corner has elevation in it...the track feels 100feet wide in some places...the staff is absoutely the most friendly you will find anywhere on the planet.
We interviewed Dario Marchetti at lunchtime (who runs the Ducati Experience program at a world level)....he has run track all over the world, including all the MotoGP circuits. He rode Barber for the first time and has it right up there with some of his favorites like Philip Island, Portimaio and Mugello....the only thing it does not have is a long straightaway.
For anyone who has the desire to go see other tracks, this one should be on your bucket list. If you ride a single or a twin, the AHRMA races are a great place to go check it out. The bonus for that weekend is that there is a ton to do. These guys really know how to run an event, as there are at least 2-3 different things going on all day long for people to see. Next years event is penciled in for October 12-14.....I would highly recommend making the trip.
