The transponder thing has me confused.

CCS is using Westhold systems but the AMB will still work?

I questioned that as well. Henry Degouw told me that he thought it might. If it will not - they will be available for rent, which should be reasonable since the transponders themselves only cost $80 (I think that LRRS shold consider this if it all works with our scoring system).

It wasn't that long ago that I remember the top AMA Superbike riders to be virtually untouchable due to their access to equipment that was so far superior to that of the average racer. Don't get me wrong, those guy can absolutely ride....but the rest of the racing "mortals", when they are on their game and get on decent machinery, are closer than you may think. It will be fun to watch.
Wish the current rules were in place 10 years ago for some friends of mine....

Ryan, will you have room to bring a tub or two down with you, and a bike and stuff back? If so hit me up with a cost.

I can tell you that we sent our box truck and trailer, weighing 20,000 pounds total and towing 9 bikes down there, for $800 in gas, including a 6 hour trip from the track to Tampa after the event (our truck stays in Florida from December to February).

Round Trip Airfare is under $250 right now - MHT to FLL, Thursday in, Monday out.

Hey guys, I checked with Steve Aspland. He has decided not to transport. He ran the numbers and interests and they didnt work for the trip.

just FYI in case you havent' planned it out yet.

I am still looking myself at a couple of options. I have an 8x20 trailer that potentially could be an option however getting the time off from work for the whole week is gonna be difficult. So driving for me with the trailer will be my last option unless necessary.

I'm looking for someone to transport also. This is pretty much the determining factor.

Not so sure I want to use the STI to tow all the way there and back..

Last I talked to Frank Babuska, they were looking at going down and had room in their truck. Those guys are in NY, for anyone interested.

I look forward to seeing you guys down there. I do not have any names right now, but rumors are floating around of several AMA regulars racing over the CCS weekend. It should be fun.

    Hey Eric,
Thanks for putting on a good event. We had a great time and it was a real good experiance to get some different skill sets. Looking forward to Loudon in a few weeks to put some skills to the test. It was also good to see fellow LRRS riders there for the weekend.

Thanks. I really enjoy the track at Homestead.....the layout is awesome and it has fast corners that we just don't have up at home. It will definitely help you when you get back home to have ridden another circuit. Hopefully we can get a big crew in December.

For anyone who attended the races at Homestead and participated I spoke with the photographer and photos are available. I have attached the link.. If you dont see your photos, send them an e-mail and the will post the proofs on the site for you. They are have been great to deal with so far and there prices are very reasonable from what I can see.
