    Loudon Classic Events & Practice

We've had a couple questions recently, so I thought I'd post up the exact program for the June events at NHMS

    June 18-19 2 Day
    • Basic Course (if you need a license) - being run Weds 6/18 only
    • 2 Day Course (all levels) - is getting full, sign up now if you want to get in
    • Racer Practice - Thursday 1:30-7:30 PM, $120 for Pre registration

June 23rd - Inaugural Kawasaki Track Experience
    • 3 Groups - 2 TX groups and 1 group exclusively for women (great opportunity for a female rider to get a chance to ride the track in a 100% comfortable environment)
    • Kawasaki Test Rides - Available for Ninja 300, Ninja 650, ZX6 and ZX10
    • Track Time, Instruction & Low Track Density - A great opportunity in prime riding season!

Why come to Penguin Track Experience? Ask James Normand (age 60), who attended May 2014. "I strongly recommend this program to anyone what wants to learn how to drive fast and safely on roads as well as tracks....your coaches were approachable, interesting and useful.....I cannot tell you enough how great a time I had on Friday.....I definitely recommend your program to others and thank you and your staff for a great experience"

Looking forward to the new program and the new bikes from Kawasaki!

Speaking of an all girl session, what about bringing back the Miss Match this weekend ?

That's a request for Tommy or Steve Aspland....and if there is enough interest they could likely be convinced.

If Miss Match doesn't happen this weekend, can I put a vote in September Adam? I will be there that weekend and would run it!

Kerry, I nudged Steve Aspland about this the last couple of years. He answered that he didn't really know if we had enough female racers to hold such a race. June is too short a notice on this, so I would recommend that we think about doing it for the Labor Day weekend. Our schedule for the June event is extremely tight. The USCRA event is the day after LRRS and you can perhaps talk to some of the vintage girls and get them to come up a day early to fill up the grid. For LRRS I think we only had Lorna Murphy and 2-3 relatively recent racers in the ranks (Feel free to correct me out there.)
I'll talk to Steve at this next event to discuss reciprocity on the licenses, etc.

There are at least 2-3 NOVICE female racers, but I believe in the past this race was AM/EX only? It may help fill the grid if that is not the case, especially if it'll be both LRRS and USCRA racers anyway(already some closing speed variances).

We should campaign at the classic and see what we come up with. Bikes could be an issue as well as far as fairness meaning like JerseyGirl on her vintage against a SV or something. In which case Im sure a motard or two could be borrowed.........

JerseyGirl borrowed an RS125 last time she did the MissMatch. We can hook her up with a real race bike again.

I'll be sure to tell Frank G. that you don't think her CB is a 'real race bike' while pointing you out.

I'll then proceed to run away VERY fast as I don't know his blast radius but suspect it's rather large.

In the above context, I meant versus a motard....

Because I care, and I'm willing to make sacrifices for our beloved sport...I will assist you in spreading word of this to all the female racers, personally.

Yeah, don't mess with Frank, he'll mess with you back! Here he is telling a rival team's rider (#600) that his shoe lace is untied!

Re: Loudon Classic Events & Practice

I might have a lot of trouble saying no to a motard After running one at NJMP last year, I was hooked. I will always love my Honda, but that thing was fun!! I wouldn't mind being on something a bit more competitive, but if stop being a wimp and push my bike to it's limits, I can probably be competitive with a few riders. I will be up the weekend of Labor Day either way so if they run it then, I am in!

And back to our topic! Good luck at the Classic everyone! I will be lapping NYST that weekend!
