To go along with the hearing the calls. How about the call also be posted on the scoring tower. Seems like a spot in the upper right corner could always indicate the call. That way infielders or anyone else for that matter could simply see what call it is. I also agree that when third call is made we should be getting on our bikes and rolling.

It would be swell if we could renew our licenses online.

Grids on the My.NHMS site was nice.

As simple as this sounds, it's an awesome idea. the puddles that accumulate in the paddocks are huge when a freak NHMS storm runs through.

I think that's the idea, try to get some of that audience to step up before they look outside of the paddock?

Are you talking about Tom's announcement at the banquet that they're looking for help? If so, I emailed him the following Monday or Tuesday, and received no form of reply. I will try the main LRRS address though; good idea.

Trophies for the Novices. I think it's great that the Experts donate their trophies but it's not the same. Novices want a trophy they can show off. And when they show it off, a few more people get interested in the races and maybe a few more people come to see us race.

I think that a "Team Championship"/points system would be pretty cool and may encourage more people to group up rather than go it alone which would get people to interact more even if it were purely a fun statistic

That's not a bad idea. Not exactly as you describing it but more similar to the ASRA team challenge just all at one track. Interesting.

You are right, it's not run by NHMS, but it's probably more accurate to say that the site is run by Steve Aspland, who is an LRRS official and also happens to run Rising Sun Cycles.

End of the day, it's still not the official site for the series.

Didn't they give out printed certificates for novices this year?

you know, I really like the plaques they had in 2010. One, what 10-15, wood plaque on which you put your individual "trophies". They must be cheaper and they don't take up all the space a normal trophy does. Not that I have may, I've only gotten ribbons for the last 3 years. Plus it was fun to come home a change out a blank for a podium finish.

As for the PA, I'm pretty sure they had it working in the bowl at one point, I don't know what happened. It does suck not having it.

And, the cost for each individual race's "trophy" (whether EX AM or NV) is probably $0.17.

I don't know about 'more' than experts. Everyone needs some plastic trophies in their lives. Hell, it's my goal for 2015.

    Re: NHMS 2015+ Thread

The woods/ dirt section on the motard race last year was kind of sad. I didn't ride it last year but plan to next year. How hard would it be to make some small berms back there? 1 day tops with a peice of equipment and then maybe they could do that race more than once a year.
