For those of you who have been around for a while, you know that the Penguin School was supported by Kawasaki for the 20 year span from about 1980-2000. We had a great relationship with them, and are excited to announce that Kawasaki is again the official motorcycle partner of the Penguin School!

Kawasaki has a fantastic lineup of motorcycles for both the street and track. At the World Superbike level they have been winning races and championships in recent years with the ZX10R, and the Kawasaki ZX6R is resurfacing as the weapon of choice of the middleweight class. The changes made to this machine in 2013 were a giant leap forward! The Kawasaki Ninja 650 is perfectly suited for Loudon and has proven to be a very capable machine in the hands of riders like Scott Mullin. In addition, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 has been one of the top selling motorcycles in the world for the past several years. The new Formula 300 class at LRRS is perfectly suited for this bike and the growing field of riders (it seems we get another entry every weekend) and is a perfect place for the new Ninja 300 to thrive.

Do you have pricing for rental on racing a 300 Eric?

The rental prices, for the moment, are not going to change. The prices are $250 for one day and $450 for two days. There is crash insurance available for $150 that gives you a $500 deductible (essentially this is the MAX a crash could cost you). We'll see how this works out on the new bikes.

I have not spent much time on an 05, but I have heard that the new one is a big step forward. I got a few laps on my new one last weekend and it's got a bunch of potential. Plus, getting the $250 off is a nice bonus for taking a test ride.

Absolutely....Eddie Lawson, Rob Muzzy too.....why not? We actually had a lot of those names over the years....Scott Russell, Thomas Stevens, Dale Quarterley - lots of good memories there. GPZ550's were the first ever Penguin bikes....and they did pretty well on the track back in the day.

This is awesome to hear. I haven't been to the track but love my kawi's. They don't get nearly the love they deserve and I never understand that. Its great to see them getting some love out there.
