UPDATE - We have got a date from Canaan - this will now be on September 26-27
Penguin is putting on an event at this new racetrack in late September. I rode the course last month in both directions and it was fun. Right now it's small (under 1 mile), but there are plans to expand it by about 1/2 mile next spring. It's got pretty good runoff going counter clockwise, and going clockwise it looks good in most every corner but one (there is a wall outside one corner on the track). It also has a little mini sub-track designed for go kart racing (and perhaps supermoto/mini-moto) that is a blast on a dirt or supermoto bike.

September 26-27 2 Day Registration Open
We have dates set aside on September 26-27(Saturday/Sunday). There are a bunch of things we are planning to do, including running the track CCW all day and then switching the last couple sessions in the other direction just for spice. There is a potential to do some mini moto dirt track training, and we will have a mini-moto / pit bike session on the mini course (bring your pit bikes/scooters!) . W are planning a BBQ Saturday night that will be very reasonable cost, perhaps a little music...just an overall good time. We're looking at doing some really cool filming and are working on a bunch of other stuff. We've even considered a mini-olympics style competition (fun stuff - no racing) after hours. Think Track Day with a bunch of extra smiles and laughter and you'll get an idea of what we envision for these days.
We are only taking a maximum of 40 riders for this event, and have opened up registrations to 2 day participants here: https://www.penguinracing.com/pages/...uip_rental.cfm. We'll leave it this way for a couple weeks and if there is any space left after this time we'll then open it up to single day registrations.
Motard Half Days - $125
We are going to try something we have never done before - a half day rental on a motard bike. If you've ever wanted to try one of these bikes out, this venue is a fantastic place for them. Everyone who has rented one of these bikes has loved it, and so here is a chance to try it out for only $125 for a half day.
The facilities are pretty basic right now (think generators and canopies), but the time of year is great, it's a weekend, and we're thinking that the price is pretty reasonable ($450 for both days). Max participation - 40 riders total split up among three groups. I think it has the potential to be a really good time. If anyone has any questions/comments please let me know!
