SO I got sick of messing with it and ordered a new rear. its too bad, because the studs and treads are great, but the broken bead is a bummer. I have had some success putting the bad part under the rim lock.
but it tends to do this:
I don't trust it riding remotely like I do, or in a race.
Could be good for someone to fuck around in front of their camp on the ice? Somewhere it isnt a big deal if you need to pop it back on.
Otherwise, it is headed to the dump.
Shipping would be prohibitive, but we will be headed down to MA for JDays next year.
Long shot, but I just hate to toss it.
