Cheap Deals Gap trip expences! For those interested in this, this is what a whole weeks expences were for our vacation. This is based on three guys in a large gas guzzling truck pulling an enclosed trailer with three bikes, tolls, gas, one night hotel, a week rental of a nice house right smack in the middle of a shit load of increadible roads leading anwhere in the south you feel like riding! This is broken down below for one person. Total spent for the whole week not including lunch stops which averaged around 9 bucks. Total spent $467 House per person for the week was $111 Gas to commute down & back per person was $ 176.64 Food for the week eating in - dinner and breakfast at the house per person $40 ( And we ate well! ) Average gas spent filling bikes for the week $120 One night in motel $19 (We jammed two beds and a cot in one room for us three guys.) Nice and cheep plus more fun than you can imagine! So who can swing this the second week in May next year? I can get two houses If I have 9 or more people and get a big break in the cost of renting the houses, plus a little extra discount for a break down in communication about departure time on this last trip. |

Cheap Deals Gap trip expences!actual costs for going down and back and staying there are nil like mike said. BUT for some reason every year I spend a bit more preping my bike for the vacation.. granted thought it also preps my bike for a whole summer of riding.. this year is was a bit more than normal. starting on the front, there was a new tire, brake pads, calipers, fork seals, clutch & throttle cables, carb cleaning & sync, sproickets, chain, rear brake pads & caliper and an new rear tire too.... $920 in parts and $498 in labor... on average, I spend $750 for bike prep. |

Gas to commute down & back per person was $ 176.64Yea if you're driving a Mack truck, a little 4 banger Saab can manage somewhat better ![]() I also, suggest getting new tires, I'm glad i got some pilot sports on before i went down. |
