I was on Rt 2 today and heard there was 2 bad crashes one a person was air lifted away.. We got stuck in some traffic and didnt get to see much but I did happen to notice a wrecker carrying away 2 bikes from I guess 1 accident scene. It was a new 954RR & a Yellow gsxr 600 I hope it was no one we know...be safe....for the record I went out today did 300+ miles and spent the entire day 10mph over the speed limit for and belive it or not I had a blast doing it

Savoy accident injures 3

SAVOY -- Three motorcycle riders were injured, one of them seriously, in
a collision between two motorcycles on a sharp curve at the intersection of
Blackstone Road on Route 2 yesterday morning, police and fire officials
said.

Details of the 11:27 a.m. accident were sketchy because a report had not
been completed last night, but according to authorities who were at the
scene, a woman passenger on one of the bikes was flown by helicopter to
Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center with a possible fractured pelvis, and neck
and back injuries. Her name and age were not available, but Florida
firefighters said she appeared to be in her early 30s.

Her male driver and another male rider complained of back injuries, with
one of them also suffering knee and ankle injuries, firefighters said.

Florida Fire Chief Michael Bedini said he was told by emergency
responders at the scene that the motorcycles had been in a pack of about
eight or 10 bikes when one of them struck a stone on the sharp curve and
went down. The bike directly behind the fallen motorcycle struck it and
also crashed, he said he was told.

State police in Cheshire said charges may be pending against one of the
drivers. Also responding to the scene were fire departments in Savoy,
Charlemont and Shelburne Falls, state police in Shelburne Falls and North
Adams Ambulance Service.
