I was thinking as I was driving into work this morning. What would happen If I hit one of those HUGE rubber grommet thingamajigs? Yea know the ones that go on the bottom of an orange cone so trucks don't blow them over....they are all over Rt. 3 with all the construction going on. Which leads me to my question?

What is the biggest object you have successfully run over? I think the biggest for me was some tire shrapnel from a 18 wheeler.

One woodchuck,,, almost went down,, thought I was going to miss him, ended up nailing him dead center.. I was only doing about 60mph,, ended up in the other lane by the time I recovered

Pine branch that fell out of a tree, it was right there, no time to even react, which is what prolly saved my ass as I rode straight across it at 60mph± it was about 20 feet long, (completly crossed the road) main stem was about 6" dia and about 8 feet across.

I have also succesfully navigated across several hundred feet of black ice

drove over 2x6's in the msf course. not very exciting though.

I hit one of the rubber grommet things they put on the traffic cones on Rt. 3 doing about 60mph and the bike didn't even twitch.

It was night and it just happened too fast, otherwise I dodge them during the day.

Incase you didn't know, those"rubber grommett thingys" are made from the sidewalls of old truck tires. So it would theoretically be the same as riding over truck tire bits.

I hit a squirrel on my old GSXR. I made it he did not. It was very slippery though, I don't now how I stayed upright but I did.

One dead animal of unknown origin at about 75 MPH. Stonner rode right up to it and then swerved at the last second, turning around to watch the show. I caught about 3 feet of air and kept going. Bastard...

Hmmm...I can't think of the largest object I've hit on the bike. But I have rearended a BUNCH of different cars in my big truck. The best 'show' being a mid-90's Olds Calais. The front of my truck ended up in the passenger compartment of her car. Not a pretty sight, and almost lost my license and truck 'cuz of it. But man! What a show! Musta had about a thousand people standing around watching that one!
