Short version,
I was bicycling to work Friday am, a car turned left in front me to enter a street and never saw me. She hit me square with the car and I was tossed up and into the windshield, which I smashed with my left shoulder and the crushed the roof in with my back. Then I flipped off the car roof and on to the street, I was going about 20mph, she going 25-30, so the impact was about 40-45 mph. The car was so bad the medics call for a helicopter to life flight me to UMass med. ctr in Worcester. They though I would bleed out internally before they could get me to the hospital in Milford, and that hospital is not equipped to handle severe trauma case anyway. So my first helicopter ride and I couldn't even look out the windows. I spent all day in the trauma unit get poked, prodded, inspected, detected and rejected, one nurse even did things I don't let my girl friend do....After many hours of waiting and examinations I have a broken shoulder blade (scapula) minor shoulder separation, many lacerations and stitches, dislocated my right hip, and many, many large bruises in both muscle tissue and bones. I can walk well enough to work and the more I move the better every thing feels. I'll decide about racing next week end.

Thanks for all the emails and calls, and all the offers to help at the shop. I'll see every one this this week end.

Get well soon bro, keep the number of that nasty nurse, things are bound to pop up sooner or later.
