1 piece or half? Im taking the plunge this week on one or the other, been thinking about the moto gp stuff or dainese or ??? What do you guys wear, whats the better choice...I want to do a couple of track days but if i get hooked i may want to try and race...not sure if i should spend the money and get the 1 piece....cause i might use it later, i also still do alot of street, i know its better with a 2 piece in the summer....im confused and need some help...also where to get the best deal on stuff and who has a good selection of gear to try on?

I just got some street stuff from them.
The jacket was $50 cheaper than anywhere else and the pants were $20 cheaper!
Worth the drive for me!

A friend of mine buys all his stuff there. Say that the owner is a great guy and prices are good. I know for a fact that he has dropped a few grand there on his Vstar and I also know that he is the type that will bitch about every little thing if its not how he likes it.

One piece.

Some had zip together suits and were told by the grid people to please replace them.

Vanson. I would not wear anything else.

Get perforated one piece. I'm running the motogp suit and it's working out great. Three crashes and it has held up well. Vanson is well known for their quality, but also well known for their cost, and how thick and heavy their suits are. Kangaroo is very VERY nice. I know a vendor in indiana that has great prices on the suits which retail for $890.

http://www.flatoutmotorcycles.com

Call and ask for Slava, you can tell him I refered you from the 600RR.net board where he is a sponsor. I am sure he will give you a sweet deal, way below the $890 MSRP. And he is great to deal with.

a bit off topic, but what do you wear under the leathers? I was up at the track on Saturday and it was way hot as you know..Just curious becuase I have my first track day in July and I'm hoping it's not as hot as this past weekend.

yeah, any kind of polyester or sweat wicking shirt will do... i usually wear a long sleeve shirt from REI. it keeps me relatively cool & makes it easier to take off my jacket

I have the Spyke 'droid' 2-piece suit. I bought it before my first trackday and before I had any ambitions about racing. The zipper is a heavy-duty metal zipper that goes around the full circumference of your waist. I crashed in T1 and slid on my back across alot of pavement and the suit held up very well. Although I did ditch the so-called 'spine protector' and purchased some real armor to put in the suit instead.

I also use Under Armor, and it's great. I think it's the 'turf gear' line.

I wear a one-piece Vanson that I bought off the used rack at the Vanson store. I got a GREAT deal!!

I wear moisture wicking garments, both top and bottom.
