What are the performance implications of the rear suspension vs. a mono setup & how does it ride differently (at all)?

I think that's a great looking bike also!

If you buy me a "Hot Wiener" one night in Providence, you're welcome to try mine out. I've never had one and I've heard they are good. I'm a hot dog guy, so I gotta try one!

Clay - check out those PODS....soooo sick. How bout those master cylinders.....fuck our stupid square ones....single hooligan style light - bright as fuck too.

Jake has done so much to his bike and I drool and get so many ideas whenever I see it - but I'm broke so it sucks.

They are hot dogs in Providence. They are kinda reddish with a spicey meat sauce. They are referred to as "Hot Weiners". I love hot dogs of all kinds, so I need an excuse to go down there and try them!

I have lived here off & on since 2000 and I have (proudly) yet to try a hot weiner. The guys at work love them, they sound kind of nasty to me. That said, I'd gladly try Wein-O-Rama on Oaklawn in Cranston for a loop around the block on a 1200, I'd even buy the coffee milk which makes it a Rhode Island buffet

PS: if you are a true hot dog guy you should check out Spike's they are real 'hot dogs' and are really tasty.

Been to Spike's, it's pretty decent. I'm more of a traditional hot dog type guy. Coney Island Hot Dog's in Worcester makes some decent dogs, as does Casey's in Natick.

Shoot me a PM one night next week, I'll let you tear on the 1200 all night for a couple dogs!

I'm actually thinkin about tossing the stock header and pipe for a full system next time my bonus rolls around. I have heard they save a lot of weight when removed.

25lbs or so.... Add a decent jet kit and pipe you get around 130hp at the rear wheel as opposed to 112hp or so stock. Regards, Snake

Nice bike!

That's a great platform to start with. You've done well, she should be a screamer.
