For $700.00, tell him you want TWO coats of wax on that bike!

I'm sooo jealous. I'm sure you'll get a TON out of it, far more than you would ever gain at a typical trackday. The school will give you many things to work on. Then do some trackdays and work on what you learned at the school.

What a great day ! Still unsure if the money was worth it ???
But I'll tell you what ,, Jason is on a level FAR out of reach of any rider I know !! Man can he ride a STOCK bike with STOCK Tires !!! Just goes to say that the aftermarket suppliers have good marketing skills .
I do day two Tuesday .

Ok ,, i'm itchy !!! Someone tell me about Penguin Racing School ! Is this something I need ?? Is it Worth it ?? The Star School was a blast but i'm thinking that I should have spent the money else where ,, like Penguin ??? My thoughts are after that I would have been in the right direction to get a license and been able to participate in more of the LLRS stuff ??? With the Star school certificate I get what ??? I Do however have a lot more confidence and was doing things I'm sure the K was ,,, well ,,, hopeing I was on another bike ,, smaller of cource . My Legs are KILLING ME from doing the docee-doe with the 640lb K !!

Hey don't blame the bike, a 640lb K should be enough for anybody.

Sorry. Little nerd joke. Carry on.

Trust me I'm not !! I had a blast on My Bike ,, no regrets .. She's my baby ,, and was spanked with the frying pan in stead of a nice soft leather belt .

Was there a systematic teaching method? Or did they just give you advice? Tell us about it!

FWIW, STAR is an accepted CCS school. This means that there is no need to take the Penguin Basic school for your race licence. Just need to fill out the application, show them your STAR certificate, take Jerrys' test, and run your rookie race. That's the way I got mine. The Penguin basic school teaches you all about track ettiquette. What the flags mean, what to do in certain situations, etc, but precious little on-track activity. Get a copy of their manual, read it and you'll be OK for the test.
Cheers, Lee S.
