Terribly warped rotors. Opinions?

Ok, it's time. After about 25k miles and two trackdays, I need new rotors. This thing shakes like a dog shitting razor blades coming into turn 1. It's that bad. I checked prices on factory rotors and nearly killed the parts guy! $670 a pair! Does anyone have some good opinions on some good aftermarket rotors? I've been hammering on it at the track and these aren't doing the trick.

You might be able to get some used stockers on Ebay for cheap. Know of any other hondas that use the same rotors? could be that people have the same rotors on their bike as yours & decide to upgrade before their stockers are toast... ya could get lucky.

I've found a few on kneedraggers.com, I was just wondering if anyone had experience with a certain brand. Wave rotors? They look cool.

You can get aftermarket rotors for under 200 bucks each.

I looked into the bent rim possibility, but it's fine. I know it needs rotors. Does anyone have experience with any high performance aftermarket ones?

Yeah, EBC are the standard aftermarket piece for racing, etc. Much cheaper and better than the stockers. A nice upgrade is to get "fully floating" rotors. They are a little less prone to warp, and a little less shaky once they are warped.

Brake Tech make some fancier items for more $$

The EBCs are the go.

Make some attempt to check if they are really warped

Or if 1 is only warped.

If the surface finish or contamination is spotty then you will generate pulses braking as with warped rotors.

At a minmimum carefully hold a pointer to them and spin the tire if you can't see any in/out movement then try taking them off and solvent clean them then power sanding them with a DA or Finish sander

Also sometimes bikes stored wet get some corrosion where the damp puck sits against the surface.

Just before this past tonys track day, I had cleaned them with brake cleaner and sandpaper, then took my little DA grinder to them and made a nice non-unidirectional pattern grind on them. Didn't help. I'm a tech at a dealership(please don't hate me, I've seen how everyone hates dealerships) and have all the tools to check them. I did everything short of throwing them on the lathe to check them. The runout is beyond the manufacturers spec. They're warped, the both of 'em. EBC's are good? Good. They're pretty affordable. The wave rotors are so cool, though! Anyone have them?

I have EBC Pro Lites with
the Double HH pads...

Awesome improvement over stock.
No comparison to stock parts.

You'll wonder whether you even had brakes before the change.
I got mine at street and competition
delivered on one day, awesome !
