Sweet you're practically in my back yard![]()
Prices are:
$20 a rim off the bike (includes mounting, balancing and disposal)
$28 a rim on the bike (includes mounting, balancing and disposal)
Please bring any special tools required for your bike (kawasaki front axle hex key is an example)
I have just bought a manual changer that was very expensive, but can do any kind of motorcycle or atv wheel without any damage to the rim. I can also change tires on carbon fiber rims, race mag rims etc with NO damage at all. Colored wheel weights also available.
I can also change chains and sprockets for you.

I was plagued by that problem the first time I tried to remove my front wheel. Not wanting to pay over $50 for a 22mm alen wrench socket from Snap-On, I found that a 13/16" spark plug socket has an outer drive that is just a hair smaller than 22mm (20.6mm). I took the rubber out of it, put an extention through and made a custom 22mm hex wrench.Originally posted by Degsy

He can do it if you drop the rims & tires off at his grotto between 11:35 and 11:52pm on the 216th day after the cow jumps over the moon during the year of the Monkey in accordance to the Chinese calendar. He charges a buck 25 per minute of work while changing out the right side tires, but has to charge double for the left side tires as he has to flip his magical tire swaping device upside down & backwards. He's practiced enough to the point where he's got the procedure down to 34 minutes per rim, including prayer time.
Degs, did I get all that right?

Tom, best thing you can do is PM me and we can set something up.
Quad tires are a pain in the ass but I can do them. Best thing would be for you to drop them off and give me a day or so to get them done and then I'll meet up with you when I have them done the following day. Alternatively, you can hang around for a couple of hours while I do them.
Price? Depends on how long it takes (some quad tires are a bitch to change, some are ok) but no more than $40 for all 4

If you look down, you go down. That may be fun at an orgy, but it sucks on a bike
Derek does great work! attention to detail is second to none and can't beat the prices.

Just wanted to say that I agree with everyone here who have praised Derek. He is a really cool guy and great to talk with. Actually met another member while I was there...I think he posted right above me...Matt's his name.
I am happy to say that I think I've found the guy who I will be taking my bike to for anything bikewise.

Got my tires done today by Derek. Hell of a guy.
Did a great job, and couldnt be happier. Hell, I probably could have been in and out in 45 minutes, but stuck around for over 2 hours just for the sake of talking. I think I would have paid him just to shoot the shit, he wouldnt have even needed to change my tires.
Thanks again man!!
To say the bike feels like a whole new bike now, would be a huge understatement.
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
based on past exerperience, if you time your tire-change just right, you might get to be the first person on NESR to see one of Degsy's new bikes
The closest I'll ever get to Ducti bragging rights is that I was the first one see Deg's little toy. hah)

i agree with all....derek totally rocks. not only did he do an excellent and speedy job mounting and balancing a new pair of qualifiers for me, but he rode all the way up to somerville to bring up my front wheel spacers that i forgot down at his house
just try to find a stealership that provides that level of service!![]()
i definitely owe you some beer now derek!![]()
