I love my bike...but...

I really want to try out a GSXR-1000! I just checked the specs on it, and size-wise it's not far from the stock TLS. After riding Todd's 929 Saturday morning, I began to long for the new-era inline power/smoothness.

I'm also thinking about once again going back to the stock exhaust on the TL...cuz the M4's are driving me nuts! Full M4 Ti system for a TLS, used less than 3 months as of right now. See the post in for sale/wanted for more details. I just can't stand being THAT fucking loud!

It's the same shit I went through with my Honda, and with the first exhaust I had on the TL. It's awesome at first...feels so bad-ass...but then I find myself feeling too self conscious when I ride, and NOT riding when I would if the bike wasn't so loud (mornings riding to work, for example).

I put a full race system on the CBR....and got sick of it.

I put slipons on the TL, and got sick of them.

I put a full race system on the TL, and now I'm sick of it.

Personal preference of course...I'm not saying there's anything wrong with this exhaust system.

Ideally, I'll have test ridden a Gixxer 1000, loved it, and be riding it...next year.

ideally he'd be shutting up right now and save his money instead of thinking about buying a different bike cuz there's nothing wrong with the one he's got and really does love the TL....and really does love the pipes and needs to stop being so damn self conscious and go ride the fucking thing even if it's in the morning - who gives a fuck if the neighbors get woken up - sheeeeeeeesh - they've caused enough hassle for you with the little runts running around in the parking lot and not paying attention at all!

oh but thats just my opinion lol

(and yes i know there's no punctuation lol...that was partially planned but atleast i make sense........)

I'll give a vote for the gixxer! I've benn on a 954 before, and i can't even image what a little more giddy-up is like....not to mention the fact that 4's are simply more fun than a twin...

Look, Just get a Busa, we can Turbocharge it. The turbo softens the exhaust note, so it won't be loud, you'll be able to out run anything the even thinks about challenging you....You will always be running low 9's at the dragstrip, and you will be trying different rear tires everyweek.

You are starting to sound like my wife..Whine, Whine, Whine!!!!
Keep it up, and I'm gonna start avoiding you too!

Bwaaaaaa! Haaaa! Haaaa!

Talk to John about the Gixxer 1k, amigo. He rode it and hated it. Loved the power and smoothness, but couldn't get used to an I4 again.

Personally, I'd take the new RC51 over the Gixxer..

Well since I haven't ridden either bike, I can't make that comparison. Either way, I rode the 929 and loved it...and the gixxer is quite a bit more powerful. We'll see when I ride it.
