Really, my only complaint/dislike of the TLR is the tail...I don't like that look one bit. But that gixxer tail totally turns me on to the TLR! Hehe...hmmmm...maybe next year I'll get one and do that to it.

Or maybe I'll just continue beating the snot outta my TLS.

There's a coupla those on the 'Ultimate TL Gallery'. Yeah, they look sweet alright. There's a company out there that make 'Gixxer' tails for BOTH the TL-R and the TL-S. If I can find the link, I'll post it later...

One of the mods on SBN, CasterTroy, has done that to his TLR, though it's a carbon fiber tail.

Personally, I'm a fan of the TLR tail, especially the yellow with the silver stripe.

Yip. I'm a big fan of the Tiller tail too. I don't understand why peeps buy 'em if they don't like 'em...

I kinda like the stock tiller tail too, with a cowl on it of course, its the thing that makes the tiller distinctive (looks wise) from other sportbikes

The tail on the TLR looks cool.

What I don't get is how the front of the bike looks "fat". The V-twin is much narrower than the I-4's in the Gixxers, right? I would have thought the TLR would look more svelte, but it looks pretty porky.

Aerodynamics! Extensive wind tunnel testing was done with the Tiller early on in the development stages. That's actually how they came up with the tail design too. It was designed that way so that they couldn't get drafted while racing...

It's really a shame that Suzuki gave up on the development of 'em too. It's really not all that far off, but that's for a new thread I guess....
