Ok,
Why is it I can put over 300 miles on the back roads of NH and VT at an average speed of like 70% over the posted speed limits but then leave work, here in Norwood, MA and get a f-ing speeding ticket, becuase I was going to too fast past a retirerment home center? Of course I never ever go home this way either, not even in my cage. Does anybody know anyone in the Police department/ court system of Norwood?
If not here are my arguments on why I should get out of a ticket
#1 Can someone please explain to me how a f'in cop can "clock" me using radar when his car is parked perpendicular to the road surface, and yet the cop is standing in front of his car looking at traffic? Last I knew the radar is mounted on his front dash, and you have to be in the car to read the speed?
#2 Can cops legaly clock you from private property? If not does do the cops have permission to park his car on the property and clock traffic? If so then I would like to see the agreement.
#3 (Lie) I was half-way thru the intersection when someone pulled out in front of me. So I hit the gas and sped up to get around the car.

cops still use handhelds all the time, regardless of whether or not they have a fixed mounted to the outside of the car. It's rare that they have a fixed mounted in the car these days, what with the cancer risks and all.

As for radar from private property, they only need verbal consent from the land owner.

Fight it in court. That's your only hope at this point. Contact the property owner where the cop was parked, and find out if they gave consent.

If the cop checked "Clocked" on the ticket it means he recorded the time it took you to pass between two measured points, not that he used radar on you.

Not sure how hard the three are to beat but there are 3 ways they can get you:

Clocked trap - they set up distance and time cars/bikes as they pass.

Radar/Lidar

Estimate - I think this is only when they can follow you. (I got caught this way once... radar detector won't help you when it's nighttime and a cop sneaks up on you from behind.

Sounds like you were near the rotary in Norwood?? If that's the case - bike or no bike I'd still be careful there w/speed - there are ALWAYS cops there... I went to school in Westwood and learned that most of the Norwood cops are dicks and will find a way to give you a ticket or atleast pull you over for something one way or another.

Unfortunately, all cops are cunts. That's all there is to it.

Cunts, cunts, cunts. EVERY one of them.

I don't want to hear any whinging, they are ALL cunts deep down. Sorry if you have a friend, brother, father who is a LEO, they are all cunts. They join because it is a power trip and they have absolutely no shame when it comes to issuing tickets and putting people down for no reason but to justify their existence. They are all susceptible to bribery and they are all criminals themselves. I have NEVER known or had any contact with a cop that I trust or would trust with anything, let alone my life.

Hey Cooter... if he did check clocked, take it to court and when the PIG states his case, ask for the "distance on the clock" I was in court one day and the judge suprised every PIG by asking this question and not one of the 10 or so PIGS had recorded the distance. They are to fucking lazy to take that extra step.

I for one tend to agree with the "cunt" thing, Unfortuanley you can't have that attitute when you get pulled over.

Not all cops are bad. I was coming back to Boston last year from a trip to the fingerlakes region, after a long hard weekend of drinking at the races, mind you I don't know if I had sobbered up quite yet, and I stopped at a gas station to fill up and I asked the sheriff, who was also filling up his cruiser, where I could get a good cup of coffee.
Well when I got back in my truck after paying, I found $2 left on my front seat. It only could have come from one person, the sherrif. That's one good cop,
And as far as the cop that pulled me over the weekend before up in NH, that too was a good cop, I only got a warning, and better yet for the other 6 warnings(all on the cage) I've gotten in the past 3 years. They too are all good cops.

I will ask about the distance on the clock. What does this mean? and he didn't record the distance, does that mean I'll get out of the ticket?

The distance on the clock refers to the reference points that the PIG used to determine the distance you travelled in the clocked amount of time. They wouldn't record it on the citation itself, but on the report they file at the end of their shift. There is no way to know until you ask at the hearing.... but your odds are pretty good IMO.

Hey Cooter, maybe you should just drive the speed limit! I never speed, but if I got pulled over, I'm sure I would some how get out of the ticket, even if it was a female cop .

I dunno, man. I must be of the lucky few then. I've had more than my share of run in's with Jonny, but they've been mostly less abrasive than what I'm hearing here...
