Who owns Riverside?

Who owns Riverside?

Is this the same company that owns GBM and a bunch of other dealerships?

Just curious... I thought Riverside was part of that group.

Riverside is NOT part of the BMW Motorcycles of Cambridge dba ........ family. (That is unless ownership has changed hands recently)

The following are

Cycles 128
Parkway Cycles
GBM
Plaistow Powersports
Hillcrest Chevrolet

There may be another one in there but I am not 100% sure on that.

They also have a finance company RFC I think is the name of it.

I bet if you searched on the name of the company it would show all the dba's that they own.

Yeah Riverside isn't part of the same business as the others, and I personally think Riverside is great.
They have always been good to me

..I hate dealing with Parkway, Cycles 128..etc.

Riversdie is great. The owners name is Carlo I think - he is almost always in the shop hanging out, happy to talk bikes. He rides a lot as well. It's the only dealership that Ive been to where you wonder why no one is hasseling you to buy a bike.

South Shore and Riverside are prolly the two best dealerships in the greater Boston area. Albeit, South Shore just got my part-girl from Riverside, so I might be down there more often these days. Neither of them are *anything* like GBM, Parkway, Cycles 128, etc...avoid that shit like Bird Flu.

She's everyone's parts girl. There's also Jennie that's been down at SS for a long time.

ABout GBM

THere are 2 dudes at GBM that are cool. I forgot their names but I've gotten alot out of pickin there brains by randomly stopping by there. They were cool about hanging out and shooting the shit about any topic I could think bike related. ON THE DOWN SIDE, I brought my Bike there once and won't do it again. BEfore I started doing my own oil changes etc.. I brought my bike there for a 600 mile tuneup and to make a long story short, I got my bike back with vicious DENT in the cooling fins of my radiator. THe shitty part was the guy wasn't honest about it. I might have not been so pissed if he had said, listen I made a mistake and sorry but, that wasn't the case, (SHADY) you could tell the smooth crunch in the RAd was from a socket wrench rotating counter clockwise, the dude didn;t use a long enough extension and I'm guessing when he loosened the oil filter it slipped and smacked the rad. However, I talked to the manager on the phone because I needed a seat clip for the lock after I did my fender eliminator because the one I had flew into space when I took it off and I couldn't find it. The guy just gave me one for free givin the situation. I dindn't want to make a stink about the issue and I wasn;t about to ask for a new Rad ( wouldn't be worth the aggrivation) so the guy was apologetic and honored my request for the clip i needed. Not really an equal trade off but Its what I needed at the time.

I hate GBM. Riverside is the only dealer in the area I actually like. If I'm ever in the market for a new bike, they'll probably be getting my business.

riverside is definitely not affiliated with any other shop.

they are very good.

i brought my bike recently to them to have something that could have easily turned into a cash cow for a disreputable shop and they charged me a pittance. quite literally, it was about the same as i would pay for a decent bottle of wine. honest people.
