Fucking "winter".

First winter with a bike, and I'm going mildly insane just awaiting the fun and mayhem that lies ahead in the spring.

It finally snowed today. I have been out even if it is short trips to the store at a minimum of 1x per week. We have had the mildest winter thus far, and we only have 8 weeks to go!!!

Your bike is also running, and if it wasnt, you might have money to fix it. I on the other hand, dont. Waiting on my tax return to get it going again.

I renewed my registration the other day... I can't believe I didn't go for a ride this past Saturday, it was SO friggin gorgeous out, but I had to clean my apparment after the shindig i had Friday night.

This winter? I've been commuting a few times with the KLR. Went boarding & then out riding a bike on the same day. Took the ZX10 out this past Saturday. The season pass has only been used a couple of times so far though.

I went out for a ride this Saturday AND Sunday I just couldn't wait to try out the new ride.

I've been out at least once a week since "winter" started....it really hasn't been too bad. Almost spilled once on some sand that I noticed a little too late, but aside from that, its been pretty damn nice. This is my first year riding, and I never expected to still be riding in late January......gotta love it.

exactly. And for alot of us it wont even be 8 weeks

Damnit. This is the price I pay for having my bike stored at the ex's...20 minutes from where I live. I haven't once taken the bike out on a nice day this winter. Oh well....too much sand...too much sand....(that's what I use as an excuse!).

I guess its the price I have for having it stored where I am getting close to a grand in free parts for it! Oh well I can wait, if I had the bike available I probably would have skipped a few days of work and missed a day or two of school, and with not work I can't pay the bike off and with no school, well nevermind who cares about school.

Bigger worries are only 8 weeks of skiing.

But for the few weeks in March where there's good spring skiing AND some riding to be had, that will be 'wicked pissa'.

Def has been the most mild winter we've had. I'd be out riding right now but my bike is in the basement in dismantled. I've been doing some upgrades here and there during the winter. I can't wait to try her out.
