I just came a across a sweet deal on a set of MARCHESINI-ULTRA LIGHT WHEELS for my gixxer 1K. I need input before pulling the trigger on this deal.are these wheels really the shit or are they over rated.

They are the shit if you like to pose and say "Yeah along with my full Ti exhaust and my PcIII and the Nitrous I also have these sweet Marchesini wheels" But will all the bling in your stable Sheldon I say they would be agood addition to that sweet ass paint job on that 1k.

i know i'd love to get my hands on a set, but do some research on what they're made of. Don't remember exactly which ones, but some don't really make good street rims.... one big pothole & you've got a few paperweights on your hands

KB you make my laugh all the time.but you know when it comes to flosting you need 2 bikes....So I will grab these wheels because the 1K is for blazing fast rides with NESR click on sunday mornings, and the zx9r with all the bling is the in town Boston with wifey on tha back Saturday evenings rides.

Ps. they are the Aluminum 7pounds each.

I thought the 1k had the sweet paint job with the skulls in the paint??? The bike you took ont he big NESR fall ride.
