suspension

Rode today in NY, it was like 62 degrees out... For some reason I feel like the suspension is not as solid as it was last season. the bike isn't holding to the road the same way. It feels like the suspension is a little jumpy I can feel every little bump in the road. Could this be that the air isn't getting warm enough yet?? To make a long story short, the bike doesn't feel as solid as it did. Any advice on adjustments I should try?? should I wait till its warmer out? Or should I have the suspension checked out by someone with knowledge on the subject/ Thanks

I think you have to get back into the groove of riding and then decide.

1 - Double check the tire pressures

2 - Definitely work the rust out of your body & mind first. I felt pretty awkward last weekend when i got back on a bike, but then again I was also riding a bike I've never ridden before.

How old is it & many miles are on it now?

....

Pete, you know how old it is, and how anal I am about taking care of it.
I'm barely at 4k miles, the bike should be fine. I'm gonna do a once over on all the bolts with a torque wrench. Btw I;ve also gained like 20 or 30 pounds since last season.

that could do it, fatty jk... maybe up the preload a turn? If you put alot of miles on it I woulda said it could be fork oil, but 4k sounds like it should be fine.

My guess is still on "winter rider rust"

Shoulda put this in the suspension forum so PKates would see it. I'm sure he'll run into it eventually though.

Maybe it's because there are more bumps in the road to feel?

Winter fucks with roads, and they're at their shittiest right now.
