Back on the road.

After selling the SV, and taking a couple seasons off, I'm back on the pavement. I bought something a little different that you don't see too often, or at least I've seen very few. I'll be picking it up in the morning, can't wait. Its an 04 with 1500 miles and in mint condition.

Must be good to be back !

Well what's it ride like?

I'm still of the opinion that BMWs are heavy-ass slow bikes, but maybe I need to proved wrong.

I've rented in the SF bay area an R1200GS and a K75, both I found heavy and underpowered for their displacement.
Left me missing my 600RR big time.

Anyone here ride the R1200R? I guess that's the one that is supposed to rival japanese litre bikes.

Their cars can kick ass why can't their bikes?

Thanks everyone, feels good to be back on the road. So far I really like the bike, basically its an SV with bling. Its a semi aggressive bike, its not gonna run with a jap bike. Feels a little weak in the power dept, little heavy, but suspension seems nice and riding position is comfortable. I was torn, almost buying R7's R6 but wanted something little more practical for long distance, ability to carry items (it came with hard cases) and two up riding.

I can honestly say, that my ride is not a "heavy-ass slow bike".

163HP, 93ft/lbs of torque...

I've been riding for years, and this is the most powerful bike I've ever owned.
