Ya caterham's are no fuckin joke on the track, my uncle is building a similar car called a Fisher Fury. 235HP Supercharged MR2 engine, chassis capable of pulling almost 1.2 Lateral G's on a skidpad, in a car that is 36" high and weighs only 1200 lbs. Basically, a caterham, but not opened wheel, and with a lil more oomph.

EDIT: There's not many of them around, but heres a video of a Busa powered fury passing a Westfield (the car that beat the GSXR1000 on that 5th gear showdown) at Donnington.

That's a sweet vid and those caterhams kick ass. I'm thinking about building something along those lines this winter maybe. The August issue of Car & Driver did an article on how to build a sports car for a few grand. It listed a couple of good books. That guy is definitely fast but he also seemed to be racing against a bunch of other people out for a Sunday drive.

I wish I could find it again, I used to have a video of the #1 and #2 motorcycle record holders for the Nurburgring. One was on an R1 and the other was on a 996 or a 998. In any case they were going stupid fast like this guy in the car. Seems like it was a similar lap time range.

They were wheelying, catching air, etc.. just like the guys in the Isle of Man TT... absolutely insane. Enough to make me know if I took my bike to the Nurburgring I would definitely be in "Sunday drive" mode like the bikes in this video! It may be a great track but it is also very dangerous..
