Went Down Today :(

Well, had a nice lowside today. Was heading up 116 towards burlington and low sided on the curve right by Good Times Cafe (for those in the area). Was leaned pretty far over, then hit a patch of gravel and leaned really far over...got pretty lucky all things considered though. The bike cliped the back of a truck going the other way...and got run over by the back wheel...when that happend I jammed my leg on the bike and skidded the other way. Jumped up and got the hell out of the middle of the road...then realized my knee hurt like a mother #$)*(@#. Sat down...an EMT eating at that cafe ran over (thanks man!) and got me all situated.
Got some good rash on my left knee (wearing everything but pants...doh, helmet and jacket sure did their job).
So all in all, Efed up the SV pretty well, haven't gotten a full damage report yet...they wouldn't let me get up and see my baby. ....and got some good rash and good bruises. I'm sure i'll really feel it tommorow AM.
Had to be the day I spent alot of the morning cleaning it and changing the oil/filter too, eh?
ffck.

That sucks man. Hope you get healed up fast. It sounds like you were pretty lucky. A split second earlier and you might have been moving towards the front of the truck.

Crashing sux .....

Glad your ok . There are 2 types of riders .. Ones who went down, & ones who will go down ..
You made a error in action, calculation, , or judgment caused by poor reasoning, carelessness, insufficient knowledge, etc.
Lern from this & get back on your bike .
As soon as you can ...

You should really wear pants whenever you leave the house, but especially on a motorcycle.
