Michelin Group Buy anyone?

Just to make this idea more obvious.

Who's in on a potential Michelin Group Buy?

I want a pair of the new Pilot Power 2CTs:
120/70 and 180/55 if the price is right.

If the price is right, I would be interested in one each of:

Pilot Power 2CT:
120/70
190/55 <-- Can't wait to try!

Pilot Power:
120/60
160/60

8500 miles you say? I was lucky to get 3K out of the rears and 5500 out of the front. I tried the Powers just for the hell of it and have liked them a lot. You can't go wrong with Powers or Corsas!]

I can do any, but the margin in race tires is just horrible. It won't be much different from track price unless you stay in the medium compound.

I'm working on street pricing right now for GMD.

Thanks Chris,

By Race tires do you mean the new 2CTs
or Power Race?

I just want the Powers with dual compound.

I might be game for a set for backups. I just got a drill bit in my PP rear and temp patched it for the end of the season. I have PP rear here now so that wil be the replacement for the plugged one.
I tall depends on price - I'm also leaning to pirelli diablo's that Cycle Gear is doing time will tell.

Tire people please school me in the way of the Rubber..
What is the gain or loss, or both between a 190/50 and a 55 ?? Isn't that just the profile?

The 55 has a taller profile. My bike has a 6" wide wheel in the rear and came from the factory with a 200/50 on it. With a 200 on the rear, the bike's handling was somewhat sluggish.

I switched to a 190/50 and my handling improved by a significant margin but 190/50's are typically found on 5.5" rims which means the profile is a little flatter than it should be when mounted on a 6" wide wheel. I'm hoping that the increase in overall diameter of the 190/55 will negate some of the rounding and give me a larger contact patch when leaning the bike near its limits.

I'm no expert in motorcycle geometry take anything I say with a grain of salt!

Hey you sold me on it.. Sooooo what your saying is if I went to a 55, I would get a little more meat on the ground, when I put it low in the corner?
