We should have ourselves a competition. I'm building one too. I'm starting from bare everything though. Gonna be a trick streetbike bike, and a killer on the racetrack too.

No MX bars That makes the streetfighter look IMO. A nice set of TAG or ProTaper fat bars

what r u guys gonna do for a headlight?

I'm doing a lot of work to my GS500f. I'm not really streetfightering it, but the farings are off for good & I'm upgrading the suspension, wheels, & some others.

I was thinking getting a single, Bi-Xenon headlight to mount onto it. I'll probably just check out some salvage yards, as tons of cars use xenon/ bi-xenon these days.

If you like the 2 bulb look, you could always get a high & low beam separate.

hella makes a real nice bi-xenon that is ready to hook up to a 12v battery:

though, it's rediculously expensive, as are the others.

...hence the salvage yard...

Some ideas:

Graft the headlight assembly from a Buell Lighning on the front end

Dual headlights from Buster's: http://www.busters-accessories.co.uk...cts.asp?id=449

A single round headlight with a Buell or Ducati flyscreen

Napolean bar end mirrors

Suburban machinery bars: http://www.suburban-machinery.com/hbindex.htm

A cattle pusher for the front fender

some of their headlight assemblies sure look pretty cool. I think I'm gonna go for a full-on custom design for my bike though. Machined brackets & mounts would be a must for whomever decides to get one of these. I think they come with flimsy plastic ones. That bulb on the right is a halogen as well. looks HID but it's not. search for Acerbis on ebay & you'll find some streetfightered bikes with this setup

Word of advice - do yourself a favor and ask people who have a given light setup for their .02 on its performance, fit and finish.

Some people have had bad luck with actual lighting performance, fit/finish, etc. I can't comment directly on anything specific because I have no actual experience with the products.

Forum.SVRider.com has reams of info on people sticking odd lighting configurations on their bikes.
