angel/demon eyes?

someone in another forum, who lives in MA, is talking about getting a used r6 and the first thing he's gonna do to it is the demon or angel eyes mod:

I was pretty sure that they are illegal in MA; can anyone clarify this for me? He's pretty hard-headed about getting them.

how about if you get them in white?

P.S: this isnt one of those "this guy I know..." threads. I told them I thought they were illegal & he seems to think that if they are, cops wont bother him.

I dont know if they are illegal or not but they are a waste of money. With your lights on you cant see them. Since your lights are always supposed to be on, at least the low beams, then how are you going to see these?

So if youre just riding around I doubt the cops would bother you with these things since they wont be able to see them. Now if youre riding around with your lights off then yes Id say they would stop you.

http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...threadid=24197

I waved to a motorcycle cop in Arlington one time, he was pulled over on the side of the road walking back to his bike after just giving someone a ticket.

I saw him looking at us (like 3 bikes) so I gave him a real low key wave, nothing crazy just like 'hello'

Fucker pulled me over 4 seconds later. I had a 'hyper white / slightly blue' running light above my headlight and he said "NO BLUE LIGHTS THATS ILLEGAL"

Lucky me got a 'warning'

FU BUDDY.

Yea good luck pal.

I think federal law states all red lights need to be on the back of a vehicle.

You would need to reference the Mass. vehicle code.

Blue is prolly OK for the "they won't stop me for that", but RED you are asking to get pulled.

White and amber permitted in front

red, amber and white permitted in back.

Anything else you need a permit. That's CT anyway, I'm sure MA is pretty similar.

I think the code is at least one white light facing foward.

No other color.

you should be able to get those hyper-white...and that will be fine. I kno a few r6 guys w/ this mod and they don't have any trouble with the police. not really what I would do as a 1st mod...but we are all different and whatever make him happy

union - there is an additional switch installed that will shut-off your headlights so the halos will show

Only if you put on the "race decals" that are included

I always thought those lights were for posing. If you are parked somewhere it probably will not be a problem but if you are driving around you're just asking for trouble if you ask me.
