Talking

RandyO, someone has you beat.....

I just dropped off my DRZ at the dealership today, and was talking with the service advisor. He has an SV with 160,000 on it.

I didn't have a camera with me at the time, but I will bring it with me when I go to pick my bike up, and get a pic of the odometer.

Did it have all of the commas in the number, or did you add those for effect?

Miles, he says - apparently, he just bought it from someone in upstate NY.

I'll get pics on Monday or Tuesday when I pick my bike up.

Yeah, but what year is this guy's SV?

And did he ever take it up the Kanc in the middle of winter?

The asswipes at Land/Air Suzuki haven't finished installing a new ignition switch in my bike. We have the worst dealerships in the entire fucking world in VT, because they have no competition. I called them last week 3 times, "Should be tomorrow" each time.

If they ever finish fixing my bike, I'll get some pics.

I have heard the same stories about my local dealership too

yet, when I drop my SV off for service, they ALWAYS have it ready for me on my way home from work after I dropped it off that morning

the one time they didn't have it ready, I chewed the service manager a new asshole, and let him know that I expected that they drop what they are doing to service my SV for 2 reasons

1. I had made my appointment for that day over 3 months in advance

2 I am their best customer, not only to they do all my service, but I buy my parts thru them instead of the internet

I have never had to make an appointment or wait since

Those are good reasons to bitch, but I cant claim any of them

All I claim is that I BOUGHT A NEW FUCKING BIKE WITH A NEW BIKE WARRANTY SO I DONT HAVE TO WORK ON THE FUCKING THING AND NOW ITS SITTING AT THE DEALER FOR A FUCKING WEEK COLLECTING DUST BECAUSE THEY DONT FUCKING CARE IF IT GETS FIXED BECAUSE ITS A WARRANTY CLAIM.

Vermont sucks for bike dealerships.

Doc - Roadside, in my experience, is not one iota better. I have bought six bikes there, the salesman still treat me like a junkie when I walk in the door. And their parts department fucked me over on a necessary part for my R1 the day before leaving for VIR, so I hate them too.
