Funny I was just going through the 2007 line up to see what I want for a new ride this year. The 1098 is definately on it, but if I don't get the S model than I wont bother. Just not ready to drop $20 Large on a sport bike.

My other choices are the 07 Charcoal R1, or the Black and Silver Gixxa 750.

I am going looking after work tomorrow at the Yami and Gixxa and take a seat on them to see which I feel better on.

I know I am not going to be comfortable on the 1098 seeing the riding position first hand at the NY show. The riding position is more aggresive than my RC... To bad because it is one sweet ass looking ride that will be one hell of a performance machine!!! Not too mention the S package suspention is top notch!

Yeah i wish i could have seen one in person, buying one blind, and not being a twin guy upfront worried me no matter how pretty it was.

I must be blind, I don't see any yellow or the tricolor. I really like the black w/ red frame. You can download wallpaper sized pics from the column on the right though.

All the bikes nowadays are awesome. It's hard to decide. I heard the R1 has variable velocity stacks. I think that's a great idea.

Not sure why, but just its just borderline "out of place" color scheme for me. Don't get me wrong it looks awesome. Maybe its because i'm just used to seeing 916/996/998/748's in red or yellow only (heck even the matrix edition felt "weird"). Perhaps its the same thing when i see a ferrari (aka if it wasn't red/yellow it just didn't look "right")

Too bad my wedding is in 6months (oops did i say that out loud lol) otherwise i would've already had my name on the list for a nice red 1098s. Hopefully this time next year i can get my hands on either 1098s or f4 1k (still undecided)
