Arai helmet stolen

sucks

I just had my helmet stolen. Clipped right off my bike.
I had that little cable tie holding it.
Stupid me !

Just now went to see a DJ friend at Linwood in the fenway area
and now my Hayden RX7 Corsair Arai is gone.
it was the orange limited edition.
dumb way to lose $5-600 !

If you see it on craigslist its mine. PM me.
Here is a photo.

Its got a good scratch on the left visor cover
and bit of ding on the top where there is a bit
of lost paint. And the visor was clear.

man am I pissed. Had to ride home on the Jamaica way in a
baseball cap !

That sucks. I've never left a lid on a bike. (Although not many clubs will let you carry your lid in) Too many damn opportunitsts will take shit just because they can.

Hey, now you can get that Pedrosa replica!

Scum-bag crooks, I had mine stolen last year, I know how you feel. We both learned the lesson the hard way.

maybe your comprehensive bike insurance, most companies cover helmets in a collision as if it were part of the bike

Tough to tell if it has the damage you're describing:
Arai Corsair RX-7 Helmet-Buy the Best

I often use google to search CL (seems to be faster), try this one out in the google search box:
"arai helmet site:boston.craigslist.org"

Also try the capecod.*, southcoast.*, westernmass.*, and worcester.* (* being craigslist.org)

What a way to mess up your day... f-ing scumbags. Try to get another helmet and start your day anew. Try not to have them totally ruin your day.

I'll keep my eyes out looking for it. I'm not sure what club you went too but some of the larger places have a coat check where you can check stuff. I've seen people check motorcycle jackets and helmets before. It's worth the few bucks.

About them not taking the bike... that's what I thought too.

I was going to just take my little dinky twisted wire cable
to lock to a post. But at the last minute I decided to
with a NYC Krytonite chain that my wife has for her bicycle.
I weighs an ton and I hate to carry it.
Sometimes I also lock the front and the rear so
you cant just put one tire on a skateboard and roll it.

If they were thinking of taking the bike the chain probably
looked like a pain and they jut swiped the helmet.

The thing that sucks about it is that they dont make
that model anymore and the new Hayden model
just aint doing it for me.

So if you were going the get a new lid, what would it be?

Or even better, watch them pull up somewhere wearing your helmet.

Stranger things have been known to happen.

Got a new lid Saturday afternoon. The wonders of the credit card.
Plus hopefully my home owners ins. will come through for me.

Alan (Moto Mkt) is probably disappointed in my going to Somerville
to get it, as he set aside a Yellow Edwards RX-7 for me.
I buy lots of other stuff out there anyway so all is cool!

But to tell you the truth the stock medium fit me like a
glove right out of the box. I picked up an 05 model at a discount.
The Edward GP in Red.
Not as nice as my Hayden but its growing on me.

Here are some pics...
no pederosa (booo) and no biaggi sorry folks !

where does one get Suomy's around here now
anyway ?
