Those STUPID NH state OHV stickers DO NOT come off easily. They flake off in tiny bits. I've tried the hairdryer already and I am hesitant to hit it with chemicals as its on a plastic dirtbike fender. I know my finger nail/take time approach is still going to leave scuffs in the plastic. This pisses me off...any advice?

Goo Gone works great, even on plastics. I used it on my bike to get the warning stickers off.

Yup, ammonia works. Goo gone or goof off. Let it soak good for 10+ minutes. Might require a few tries.

Walmart has a sticker removal kit that comes with a plastic scraper. The scraper will crap out and bend after one use but should get the job done.

RYE I had to take mine off too. Heat works best. Then use WD-40 to get the residue off.

Try goo gone first before any of the petrochemicals (like the hallucination inducing goof off). Basically goo gone is some kind of super concentrated orange oil and is incredibly effective on stickers. It's like sticker anti-matter, the guy who invented it should be considered for the Nobel Prize.

I've used it on plastics before and it had no effect (but always test in an inconspicuous area first...)

My brother-in-law works for a small chemical manufacturer, they sell a degreaser that's mostly the citrus solvent you're talking about. It works great, I peeled off a 12-year old Ducati tank pad off the 900SS and didn't leave a mark after I rubbed it down with some of it.

I'd say a power washer...one of mine got blown into a thousand peices when I washed it after a ride and didn't leave a spot of old sticker or glue.
It's not the end of the world if you scuff the plastic up a bit, simply sand down the scuffs with some 1000 grit paper and heat the area with a heat gun and it'll look brandy new...at least Yammie plastics are that way..don't know about the red stuff

use a blowdryer to warm up the sticker, then peel it off using either finger nails or something small and have an edge. then Goo gone to remove the dry glue.
