Nah, we are at the Two Wheel Inn in Robbinsville, awesome people running it. We rolled in in the middle of a rain storm at 330am Sunday morning and we had called about 9pm the night before and they opened up the rooms for us and we had a place to crash besides the seats in the car when we got there.

The dragon at 2am after 18 hours of driving, in the middle of a severe thunderstorm........slightly spooky.

Having an awesome time, took about an hour of video so far, had to charge the camera, but now we are out to eat and maybe make another run of Deals Gap. My legs are toast though, so I dont know about that.

Mike, PM'ed you.

I crashed.

Other than a really sore back, a twisted subframe and some smashed plastics, shes still ready to roll, and I am, sort of.

I believe it ... the dragon is no place to fool around when you are tired.

Do something else if you are tired ... the Cherohala for example.

Keep the Dragon for when your mind is crisp and focused.

I dont have video of the crash, just the run immediately preceeding it though.

I'm fine, bike is still rideable, I just dont have turn signals on the left side and my tail is smashed up. And my lower back is really sore, gotta keep anti-inflammatories in me probably to keep my back loose.

It'll buff right out. I'll be fine.

been there, done that !

hope you heal up fast and the comment about exploring other roads is so true !

Fontana Village has a nice stretch of road that is equal to 129, just not 11 miles worth.

tons of kneedragging opportunities all through the smokies.....

dont forget to get to donate to the tree of shame.....

If he crashed and got up and walked away, he learned something!

Have a safe journey back.
